WESTERN NEW YORK SATANISTS

We are a group of atheistic Satanists in the western New York State area who meet and celebrate our love of reason, philosophy, challenging dogma, and progressive activism.  We believe in free thought and the triumph of science and reason over superstition.  We believe in human rights and bodily autonomy.  We believe in social justice and equality for everyone, promoting secular values in society, and the separation of church and state.

 

Western New York Satanists covers a large region of New York State including Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, the Southern Tier, and everywhere in-between.  We seek to improve our communities through service and social justice action to promote our progressive secular values.  We do not believe in or worship a literal Satan, devil, god, or any other supernatural being, nor do we practice abuse or violence against any people or animals.

While we are an independent group which is not directly affiliated with any other Satanic organizations, we model our structure and values on those of The Satanic Temple (TST).  This includes our code of conduct for members and leadership, a humanistic approach to Satanism, and observance of TST's Seven Tenets.

 

While we are open to many different approaches to Satanism, we do not align with the philosophies of some organizations who believe in social Darwinism or who promote intolerance of specific groups of people.  We welcome everyone who shares our secular values and wishes to help in our mission.
